Mercedes-Benz has initiated a recall for its EQS Sedan, GLS, AMG SL55, and S-Class models due to concerns over a potential fire hazard. This recall is the sixth voluntary recall undertaken by the luxury car manufacturer this year. The issue is linked to the fuse boxes, which may have been improperly rewired. This can lead to system failures and an abrupt loss of propulsion, as well as potentially affecting the instrument cluster and increasing the chances of accidents and injuries. The carmaker has identified approximately 16 EQS sedans, 9 S-Class models (including Maybach), 3 GLCs and 2 AMG SLs that are affected. Mercedes-Benz will reach out to owners of the affected vehicles to schedule repairs, which will be provided at no cost.
