
Hero MotoCorp has expanded its 125cc commuter motorcycle offerings with the release of the Glamour X 125. This new model brings a more premium feel to the Hero Glamour family, while the original Glamour remains in production. Design and Styling
The Hero Glamour, known for its practicality, now has a sibling that offers a more contemporary aesthetic. The Glamour X showcases an H-shaped headlight, a shorter visor, an ‘X’ badging, and an overall enhanced body design for a more sporty look.
Technological Features
While both bikes fulfill the basic needs of a commuter, the Glamour X significantly upgrades the technology. It features a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, and adjustable brightness. One standout feature is the inclusion of cruise control, a first for the 125cc commuter motorcycle segment in India, along with ride-by-wire technology and selectable ride modes (Eco, Road, Power).
Mechanical Specifications
Both the Glamour and Glamour X share similar underpinnings. They both feature telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking systems are available in either disc/drum configuration. 18-inch alloy wheels are also standard across both models.
Engine and Performance
The Glamour is equipped with a 125cc single-cylinder engine delivering 10.68 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. The Glamour X shares the same engine, but it is tuned to generate 11.40 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
Pricing and Availability
The standard Glamour is available in two variants, with prices starting from ₹ 87,198 for the drum version and ₹ 91,198 for the disc version. The Glamour X, offering more advanced features, is priced at ₹ 89,999 for the drum variant and ₹ 99,999 for the disc variant.
