
Hero MotoCorp has once again demonstrated its dominance in the Indian two-wheeler market. Sales data from the government’s vehicle portal reveals that Hero led in sales during the first six months of fiscal year 2025-26 (April to September 2025). Here’s a look at the sales performance of key players in the two-wheeler segment.
Hero MotoCorp: Leading the Pack
During the period from April to September 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold 24.14 lakh units. The Hero Splendor was the top-selling bike, with the HF Deluxe and Passion Xtec models also contributing to the company’s strong sales performance across both rural and urban markets. Hero bikes remain popular due to their affordability, reliable engines, and fuel efficiency.
Honda: Strong Performance in Scooters
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) secured the second position, selling 21.84 lakh units. The Activa was Honda’s best-selling model, solidifying its position as India’s leading scooter. Honda’s motorcycle segment also saw growth, with models like the Shine 100 and Shine 125 contributing to increased sales volumes.
TVS Motor: Success in Scooters and Premium Offerings
TVS Motor Company achieved third place, selling 17.20 lakh units in H1 FY26. The Jupiter scooter and Apache motorcycle were the company’s most popular models. The Raider 125 and iQube EV electric scooter further strengthened TVS’s market presence.
Bajaj Auto: Fuelled by Pulsar and Chetak
Bajaj Auto took the fourth position with sales of 11.43 lakh units. The Pulsar and Chetak electric scooter were the best-selling models.
Suzuki and Royal Enfield
Suzuki Motorcycle India ranked fifth, with sales of 5.23 lakh units. The Access 125 continues to be a top performer, with the Burgman Street also gaining popularity.
Royal Enfield secured the 6th position, selling 4.53 lakh units. Models such as the Classic 350, Bullet 350, and Hunter 350 have helped solidify its position in the premium segment.
