
The VIDA VX2, launched by electric vehicle manufacturer Vida (Hero’s EV brand), stands out with its dual-battery configuration. This setup allows riders to use one battery while the other is being charged, increasing usability. The batteries are easily removable, offering the flexibility to charge them using any household power outlet.
The scooter is available in Go and Plus models, with the Go version starting at ₹99,490 (ex-showroom), and the Plus version priced at ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s designed to compete with popular electric scooters like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, and Ola in the Indian market.
With the VX2 Plus model, featuring a 3.4kWh battery pack (two removable batteries), offers a range of up to 142 km. The VX2 Go model has a 2.2kWh portable battery, providing a range of 92 km. Charging the scooter from 0 to 80 percent takes about six hours with a standard charger. Public fast chargers can provide the same charge in approximately 60 minutes.
The scooter features a 6kW PMS motor, allowing the Plus variant to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.1 seconds, and the Go variant in 4.2 seconds. Features include 12-inch alloy wheels, telescopic front forks, and mono-shock rear suspension. The VX2 also boasts features such as 7 color options, underseat storage (33.2 liters in Go, 27.2 liters in Plus), cloud connectivity with remote immobilization, LED lighting, turn-by-turn navigation, live ride data, and a 4.3-inch TFT display.
