The Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter is gearing up for its official unveiling, with a confirmed launch date of July 1st. The new model, which has been undergoing testing in India, promises to introduce new design elements and features while still using the V2’s underlying architecture.
A notable advantage of the VX2 is its anticipated lower price point compared to the existing V2 range. The scooter has been seen in dealerships, giving a glimpse into its more traditional design. While the VX2 will have a different appearance and feature set compared to the V2, it will share critical internal components such as the battery, motor, frame, and electronic systems. This approach enables Hero to streamline production and benefit from economies of scale.
Hero Vida’s current lineup starts with the V2 Lite, priced at Rs 74,000, and goes up to Rs 1.20 lakh for the V2 Pro. The pricing details for the VX2 are still under wraps, but it’s expected to be competitively priced. The scooter will be available from July 1st.
Prior to its launch, the VX2 was spotted without camouflage, revealing multiple variants. Images published by Car And Bike.com hinted at trim levels like Lite, Plus, and Pro. The starting price for the Hero Vida VX2 is anticipated to be around Rs 74,000 ex-showroom for the base model, with the mid-spec variant priced at Rs 85,000, and the top-spec at Rs 1,15,300. The VX2 is likely to include front disc brakes and telescopic front and rear shock absorbers.
The scooter spotted had a digital dashboard, controlled by a joystick, along with an SOS button for emergencies.
Like the V2, the Vida VX 2 will offer a removable battery. The model lineup will mimic the V2’s, including Lite, Plus, and Pro trims. The base variant may come with a 2.2 KWH battery pack, while the top-spec is expected to feature a 3.4 KWH battery. According to a report by Car and Bike .com, the Vida VX2 will be powered by a permanent magnet motor, with its output likely being less than the V2’s 6Kw peak.
