Honda’s electric scooter lineup, comprising the Activa e and QC1, has experienced varying sales performances since its market entry. From February to July 2025, Honda produced 11,168 scooters, selling 5,173 during the period. The initial deliveries began in March 2025.
The Activa e, with its swappable battery, caters to personal commuters. The QC1, equipped with a fixed battery, targets gig workers and budget-conscious urban users. Sales figures reveal a significant disparity: the QC1 accounted for 4,252 of the 4,950 units sold in the first five months, while only 698 Activa e scooters were sold, making up only 86% of the total sales.
While the Activa e presents a stylish and advanced option, its sales are hindered by its dependence on battery-swapping stations. It boasts a range of 102 km and reaches 80 km/h, with acceleration to 60 km/h in 7.3 seconds, at a price of ₹1,17,428 for the standard model and ₹1,52,028 for the RoadSync Duo model. Unlike the QC1, the Activa e’s battery cannot be charged at home, leading to slow sales. There are more than 80 swapping stations currently operating in Bengaluru, with expansions planned for Delhi and Mumbai.
The QC1, priced starting from ₹90,022, is gaining popularity due to its affordability and home-charging convenience. The QC1 claims a range of 80 km. It offers a top speed of 50 km/h and can reach 40 km/h in 9.4 seconds. The QC1 is available in several major Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Chandigarh.
