
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that the Hyundai Creta has become the best-selling model in India from January to July 2025. The company has sold 1,17,458 units of the Creta in the past seven months, marking an 8% increase compared to the previous year. The Creta continues to be a popular choice among customers.
Launched in 2015, the Creta celebrates a decade in the Indian market. In 2025, it has become the top-selling SUV in the country, and it has also been the top-selling car overall in three out of the past six months. Since its launch, over 12 lakh units have been sold, and it commands over 31% of the market share in the mid-size SUV segment.
Engine Options for the Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta is offered in three different variants, and it is available with both manual and automatic gearboxes. The current price range for the SUV is ₹11.11 lakh to ₹20.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It offers customers a choice of three engines: a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, a 1.5-liter petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine.
Fuel Efficiency of the Hyundai Creta
The mileage of the Hyundai Creta varies depending on the variant. The petrol variant with manual transmission delivers 17.4 km/liter, while the automatic transmission variant delivers 18.4 km/liter. The diesel version offers 21.8 km/liter with manual transmission and 19.1 km/liter with automatic transmission.

Key features of the Creta include a new generation 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, and Level-2 ADAS with forward collision warning, blind-spot collision warning, and collision avoidance assist.
