
The Indian electric vehicle market is witnessing rapid expansion, with companies like Mahindra, BYD, and Tata Motors expanding their electric vehicle offerings. Maruti Suzuki is also preparing to launch its first electric vehicle. These new electric vehicles are expected to offer advanced features and impressive driving range.
BYD Atto 2:
This mid-size electric SUV is currently undergoing testing. Its launch is expected by the end of 2025. The international models come with 45.1kWh and 51.1kWh battery options, allowing for a range of up to 410 kilometers on a single charge. This SUV will compete against vehicles like the Mahindra BE 6 and Hyundai Creta Electric.
Tata Sierra EV:
Tata Motors revealed the production version of this vehicle at the Auto Expo 2025. The electric variant is anticipated to launch around the festive season, with the ICE version following later. It could be equipped with 65kWh and 75kWh battery options, similar to the Harrier EV, potentially providing a range of up to 627 kilometers on a single charge.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara:
The e-Vitara from Maruti Suzuki is poised to launch soon in India, with the first production unit scheduled to roll out on August 26. It will be offered with 61.1kWh and 48.9kWh battery options, with the larger battery variant potentially providing a range exceeding 500 kilometers on a single charge.
Mahindra XEV 7e:
This new 7-seater electric SUV from Mahindra is set to launch by the end of 2025. It will be available with 59kWh and 79kWh battery options, and it is expected to offer a range of more than 600 kilometers on a full charge.
