KTM has introduced its most affordable motorcycle in India, the 160 Duke, with an ex-showroom price tag of ₹1.85 lakh. This new model is positioned as the most budget-friendly option in the KTM lineup, sitting below the 200 Duke. The 160 Duke is designed to challenge the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha MT-15 V2.0, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
KTM India’s current offerings include the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, KTM 890 Duke R, KTM 390 Duke, KTM 250 Duke, and KTM 200 Duke. The KTM 125 Duke was previously sold but was discontinued in March 2025. The 160 Duke is the latest addition to the range.
**Pricing and Warranty**
The KTM 160 Duke is priced at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a 10-year warranty, and buyers will have access to various financing options. Deliveries to dealerships are scheduled to start on August 12th. KTM emphasizes that the 160 Duke is a sporty bike, not just a standard motorcycle. Sales of the Duke series have seen strong growth, and the introduction of the 160 Duke is expected to further boost these figures. Furthermore, KTM is developing the RC 160, set to be the brand’s most affordable RC bike, with a launch planned in the coming weeks.
**Design and Features**
The new 160 Duke is designed according to KTM’s design philosophy. It’s a 160cc naked bike that blends high performance with a premium, sporty look. It features the signature KTM LED headlamp, sharp tank covers, a wide fuel tank, a sleek tail section, and LED taillights. Color options include Orange-Black and Blue-White (with orange highlights). The bike has a 5.0-inch LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call receiving, and music playback capabilities.
**Engine and Performance**
The 160 Duke is positioned as one of India’s most powerful 160cc bikes. It has a 160cc liquid-cooled engine derived from the 200 Duke platform. This engine produces 18.74 bhp and 15.5 Nm of torque. The same engine and chassis will be used in the upcoming KTM RC 160. It features USD front forks and a mono-shock at the rear, with a 320 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc brake at the rear for braking.
