The event occurred on a flight that was delayed, departing from Mumbai at 2:10 AM, hours after its scheduled 10:55 PM departure. Soon after takeoff, the passenger, seated in seat 14D, entered the restroom. The door malfunctioned, leaving the individual trapped. Crew members attempted to rectify the situation without success.
In an effort to reassure the passenger, the crew provided a handwritten note, slipped beneath the door, urging them to remain calm and stay seated until the aircraft landed in Bengaluru. After the flight landed at around 3:45 AM, airport engineers were able to open the locked door.
