Mahindra has introduced the Vision S concept SUV, hinting at a new addition to the Mahindra Scorpio family. The reveal also showcased the Vision X, T, and SXT concepts. The Vision S design includes LED headlights and an LED-enhanced grille with the Mahindra logo. The bumper integrates a radar unit and parking sensors, along with roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps. The SUV is characterized by cladding along the doors and wheel arches, riding on 19-inch wheels. The side mirrors are replaced with cameras. In the rear, the design includes inverted tail lamps and a spare wheel featuring Vision S branding. The interior boasts a refreshed layout with a new steering wheel design, a digital driver’s display, and an infotainment system running Mahindra’s NU UX system. The cabin features dual-tone upholstery, redesigned door trims, premium seats, a panoramic sunroof, and grab handles for easy access. The Vision S is built on Mahindra’s NU-IQ platform, which supports SUVs between 3,990 mm and 4,320 mm in length. This platform is designed for petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains and accommodates front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. An ICE version is anticipated, potentially including a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Other features such as variable-ratio steering are expected to enhance handling.
