
Analyzing the August 2025 sales figures reveals a competitive landscape within the mid-size SUV segment in India. Hyundai Creta emerged as the leader, with 15,924 units sold. Despite a slight decrease of 5% compared to the previous year, Creta retained its position as the segment’s top seller. Mahindra Scorpio secured second place, with sales of 9,840 units, but recorded a significant sales decline of 29%. Toyota Hyryder demonstrated impressive growth with a 39% year-over-year increase, achieving sales of 9,100 units. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara saw a 36% decrease in sales, with 5,743 units sold. Similarly, the Mahindra XUV700 experienced a 45% drop in sales. Kia Seltos showed a decrease of 28% compared to last year. The Tata Harrier sales increased by 63%, while the Tata Curvv experienced a sales decrease. Honda Elevate and Tata Safari marked the lowest sales figures. The data provides a snapshot of the evolving consumer preferences and the ongoing competition within the SUV market.
