In a significant shift, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has become the top-selling car in July 2025, surpassing the Hyundai Creta, which had previously dominated sales charts. The Dzire, introduced in a new version last November, has also set a benchmark for Maruti Suzuki by achieving a 5-star safety rating. Its superior mileage, updated features, and refreshed design have further boosted its appeal.
The Dzire recorded sales of 20,895 units in July, outperforming the Hyundai Creta’s 16,898 units. A strong increase from June 2025, when 15,484 units were sold, indicates the Dzire’s growing market presence. This is the second time the Dzire has been in the top 3 bestsellers in fiscal year 2026 and the first time it has held the top position, highlighting its strong performance in smaller towns and Tier 2/3 cities.
