
Maruti Suzuki is celebrating 10 years of its Nexa retail channel with the introduction of the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq edition. This special edition of the Grand Vitara, the brand’s primary SUV from the Nexa channel, focuses on offering a premium and stylish experience. The variant is designed to appeal to those who seek a blend of elegance and performance.
The Grand Vitara has quickly gained popularity, achieving 300,000 sales in just over two and a half years.
Exterior and Interior Design:
Built upon the Alpha Plus variant with a strong hybrid powertrain, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Phantom Black edition retains the core design of the mid-size SUV, but incorporates unique cosmetic enhancements. These changes include a distinctive matte black exterior paint finish, an all-black interior mirroring the standard Grand Vitara, premium faux leather upholstery, and refined champagne gold accents.
Key Features:
This new edition offers the same advanced features as the standard Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Alpha Plus strong hybrid variant. Notable features include ventilated front seats with faux leather, and a panoramic sunroof. The interior also boasts a 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, paired with a high-quality Clarion sound system.
Safety is a priority, with features such as a 360-degree view camera and a head-up display (HUD). Additionally, the vehicle includes Suzuki Connect remote access functionality. Safety features also include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Hill Hold Control, reverse parking sensors, and 3-point seat belts with reminders.
Powertrain Details:
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Phantom Black edition is powered by a 1.5-liter self-charging hybrid powertrain, known as the ‘Intelligent Hybrid System,’ paired with an e-CVT gearbox. This combination delivers a total output of 114 bhp. The engine contributes 91 bhp and 122 Nm of torque, while the electric motor generates 79 bhp and 141 Nm of torque. Maruti claims the strong hybrid version of the Grand Vitara provides a fuel efficiency of 27.97 km/liter.
