Maruti Suzuki’s new SUV has been released in the Indian market on September 3. This SUV is designed to compete in the compact SUV segment, facing rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
The vehicle is intended to be positioned in the Maruti Suzuki lineup between the Brezza and the Grand Vitara (GV). The forthcoming SUV has created considerable excitement, with consumers anticipating a variety of new features.
The new SUV leverages Suzuki’s Global C platform, which underpins the Grand Vitara. Based on video evidence, it’s expected to be similar in size to the Grand Vitara. The vehicle incorporates new design elements, including DRL headlamps and headlights, for a more modern appearance. Spy shots reveal a split DRL and headlamp design, alongside a high bonnet, giving the SUV a strong presence on the road.
Maruti Suzuki plans to offer the SUV with a range of engine choices to cater to diverse customer needs. The launch model is expected to come equipped with the K15C 1.5-liter mild-hybrid engine, currently found in the Grand Vitara, XL6, Brezza and Ertiga. The engine may be tuned differently for this SUV, offering an output of approximately 101 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque.
