Maruti Suzuki has launched the Victoris, a new mid-size SUV in India. The 5-seater SUV will be sold through the Arena outlets and is anticipated to be priced between ₹10 lakh and ₹18 lakh. A significant feature is the introduction of a CNG-powered variant, representing Maruti’s initial foray into the CNG car market. The Victoris distinguishes itself with its ample boot space. The exterior design takes cues from the e-Vitara and Grand Vitara models, but it integrates European design elements. Key exterior features include boomerang-shaped 3D LED lamps, a wide tailgate, and a roof spoiler. Inside, the car includes a large touchscreen infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interior also features a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging capabilities, automatic climate control, a steering wheel with mounted controls, and drive modes. The Victoris is available with two hybrid powertrain options: a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol and a 1.5-liter strong-hybrid petrol. In addition, there is a CNG-powered version featuring a hidden tank S-CNG engine, which provides greater boot space compared to the Grand Vitara. Competitors for the Maruti Suzuki Victoris include the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Mahindra Scorpio N, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and Honda Elevate. The SUV has received a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. Safety features encompass Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, a Dolby Atmos sound system, and a power-operated tailgate. Export plans involve over 100 countries, with bookings open for an initial token amount of ₹11,000.
