The automobile industry is experiencing a surge in growth, benefiting from GST reforms. Maruti Suzuki, the largest car company in India, has reported sales of 80,000 vehicles since the start of Navratri. The reduction in GST on cars has led to a significant increase in customer traffic at showrooms. These new prices are effective until December 31, 2025. With Navratri still ongoing, there’s an expectation for sales to potentially reach over one lakh units.
Maruti Suzuki’s subscription program provides an appealing option for customers, offering cars for a monthly fee starting from ₹1,999. This program includes the vehicle’s cost, insurance, maintenance, and road tax. Additionally, a recent decrease in the repo rate has resulted in reduced EMIs, simplifying loan management.
Due to high demand, there might be a slight delay in car deliveries. Deliveries were paused up to September 20th and resumed on September 22nd. As a result, many vehicles are currently in transit, and customers might have to wait a little longer.
Substantial price reductions are available across Maruti SUVs. The Brezza is now up to ₹1.12 lakh cheaper. New prices range from ₹8.26 lakh to ₹11.31 lakh, ex-showroom. The Grand Vitara has seen reductions of up to ₹1.06 lakh. New prices range from ₹15.78 lakh to ₹19.50 lakh, ex-showroom. The Fronx is up to ₹1.11 lakh cheaper, with the entry-level variant at ₹6.85 lakh and the top variant at ₹11.84 lakh, ex-showroom. The Jimny’s starting price is now ₹12.32 lakh. The Maruti S-Presso has become the most affordable car in India after the GST cut. Its base model is available for just ₹3.50 lakh.
