Skoda is preparing to launch the Octavia RS in India, with the launch date set for October 17th. Bookings will open on October 6th. The car has been observed in testing, without camouflage, several times, offering a clear preview of its appearance. These sightings, including those from a recent TV shoot, reveal the car’s design.
The Octavia RS features a sporty design, enhanced by LED matrix headlights and DRLs. It has 18-inch alloy wheels and distinctive body lines. The interior includes sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and additional features.
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS will be powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, producing 216 hp and a maximum torque of 370 Nm. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG transmission. It’s important to note that the Indian version, based on the UK model, will not include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).
The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The RS model is 15mm lower than the standard version. The Czech brand has also equipped this car with a unique exhaust system to give it a sportier look.
When launched, the Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be priced around ₹50 lakh due to it being a CBU. At this price point, it will compete with the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
