Nissan’s new C-segment SUV is gearing up for its global debut on October 7, 2025. The design vision for the mid-size SUV will be presented by Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan’s Global Design Senior Vice President, and Ken Lee, Senior Design Director. The official name and full details are still under wraps, but there is a buzz that the production version may be called Nissan Kyte. The SUV is expected to hit the Indian market in early 2026, entering the competitive landscape dominated by the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Vitara Brezza.
The upcoming compact SUV is anticipated to be based on the third-generation Renault Duster, which is also planned for release in early 2026. The vehicles will share platforms, engines, features, and many parts. However, the Nissan SUV will feature a completely fresh design. Teasers show the compact SUV will feature Nissan’s signature grille, which includes two slender chrome strips. It will also have L-shaped connected LED DRLs.
