The Renault Kiger facelift has been released in India, following a promotional build-up. The updated compact SUV is priced between ₹6.29 lakh and ₹11.29 lakh, similar to the previous model. The older Kiger model was available in four trims: RXE, RXL, RXT(O), and RXZ. The new Kiger is offered in four trims: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
The starting price has seen a slight increase, and the top-end variant’s price is similar to the outgoing model’s top trim. Introductory pricing is available for the Techno CVT and top-spec Turbo manual variants.
Engine options are carried over, featuring a 72 hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT, and a 100 hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with CVT or 5-speed manual gearbox. Pricing for the Kiger NA AMT variants will be announced soon.
Exterior changes include a revised front bumper with a silver surround, a new Renault logo, updated paint options, refreshed C-pillar graphics, smoked reverse lights, and new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the Kiger retains its overall design, but now offers six airbags as standard across all trims, along with ESP, a tire-pressure monitor, and hill-start assist. The top trim offers additional features like ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlights and wipers, a wireless charger, and an 8-inch infotainment screen.
A comparison table provides a detailed look at the Renault Kiger’s specifications against competitors, including Tata Altroz, Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20, considering engine capacity, power output, torque, available transmissions, and price points for various fuel types.
