Royal Enfield has recorded its best-ever monthly sales performance, breaking records in its 124-year history. In September 2025, the company sold 1,24,328 motorcycles, surpassing the previous record of 1,14,002 units set in August 2025. This represents a substantial increase of 43% compared to September 2024, when 86,978 motorcycles were sold, an increase of 37,350 units. Compared to August 2025, there was a 9% increase, equal to 10,326 additional units sold. This achievement is attributed to the festive season in India and a decrease in GST rates.
The 350cc and below segment saw 1,07,478 units sold in September 2025, reflecting a 43% increase year-over-year. Cumulative sales from April-September 2025 reached 5,09,610 units, a 32% growth. The premium segment, encompassing motorcycles above 350cc, experienced sales of 16,850 units, up 45% from the previous year. Total sales in this category from April to September reached 82,293 units, marking a 22% rise.
The domestic market witnessed sales of 1,13,573 motorcycles, representing a 43% increase compared to the previous year. Export sales were strong, with 10,755 units sold in September, a 41% increase. From April-September 2025, exports totaled 70,421 units, an impressive 60% jump. Under GST 2.0, motorcycles up to 350cc became more affordable, with the tax rate decreasing to 18 percent. Following this, Royal Enfield reduced prices on its 350cc models from September 22. Previously, a 28% GST applied to these models, resulting in price cuts of up to 20,000 rupees for Royal Enfield’s 350cc motorcycles.
