Royal Enfield’s iconic adventure touring motorcycle, the Himalayan, is set to receive an electric makeover. Spy shots of the E-Himalayan have emerged from Ladakh, indicating that the bike is undergoing rigorous testing in a challenging environment. This development marks another step for Royal Enfield in its electric vehicle strategy, following the anticipated launch of the Flying Flea. The E-Himalayan was presented at the 2023 EICMA show. The tested models appeared to be nearly ready for production. The bike features a unique design, including a modified seat and tank to accommodate the electric components. High-spec components like an Ohlins Monoshock, Nissin brakes and an aluminum frame are used, as well as a rally-style ECU display. Royal Enfield has not yet made an official announcement on the launch date for this electric motorcycle.
