Royal Enfield is conducting comprehensive testing of its upcoming electric motorcycles in Ladakh. Recent images reveal the Flying Flea and Himalayan E undergoing trials in the mountainous region. These tests are designed to evaluate the performance of the bikes’ batteries in extremely cold conditions.
Photographs of the C6 and F6 test mules provide insights into their design and capabilities. The Flying Flea duo was previously showcased at EICMA, with the current testing marking their first appearance in India.
The C6 model maintains a resemblance to the original Flying Flea concept, while the F6 embraces a scrambler style with high-set handlebars, an off-set instrument cluster, and a high fender. Both models utilize the new L Platform and feature off-road tires and spoke wheels. The design philosophy emphasizes a lightweight and compact structure suited for urban environments.
While specific battery specifications remain undisclosed, Royal Enfield promises lively performance and a premium build. The Flying Flea is scheduled to launch in early 2026, with the C6 potentially launching first. These premium motorcycles will be available in India, with pricing comparable to the 450CC and 650CC motorcycle range.
