The launch date for the Skoda Octavia RS has been finalized. The car is expected to launch in India on October 17th, with bookings starting on October 6th. The performance-oriented model has been frequently observed without camouflage, providing a clear view of its design. It was seen during a recent TV shoot.
The vehicle features a striking sporty design, emphasized by LED matrix headlights and DRLs. It is also equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and a sculpted body. Inside, the car offers sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and various additional features.
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, producing 216 hp and 370 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission. Unlike the UK-spec model, the Indian version will not have Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).
With the 2.0-liter engine, the car can reach 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The RS version is 15 mm lower than the standard model. To enhance the sporty appeal, the car will have a distinct exhaust system compared to the regular variant.
Given its CBU status, the Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be priced around 50 lakh rupees. This price range would place it in direct competition with the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
