The Skoda Octavia RS is slated to hit Indian roads in November 2025. This performance-oriented sedan will be imported as a CBU, indicating its premium positioning. While the official pricing is forthcoming, expect it to be around Rs 50-55 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Octavia RS is powered by a robust 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, generating 265 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. This engine is also employed in the Volkswagen Golf GTI. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, with a front-wheel-drive configuration and an electronic limited-slip differential for improved handling.
Performance is a key highlight of the Octavia RS, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. Braking duties are handled by ventilated disc brakes: 340 x 30 mm at the front and 310 x 22 mm at the rear. Note that the Indian version will not include the DCC adaptive suspension found on the global model.
The interior will be well-appointed, featuring a 13-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, sport seats with contrasting stitching and carbon fiber trim, aluminum pedals, a flat-bottomed RS steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, and an optional panoramic sunroof.
Safety features include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, front assist with city emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, driver alert system, and blind spot detection. The car boasts a 600-liter boot, expandable to 1,555 liters with the rear seats folded.
Visually, the Octavia RS will stand out with its redesigned grille featuring black accents, sporty RS bumpers, LED matrix headlamps, alloy wheels, new LED rear lights, a sports exhaust, and a motion-activated tailgate.
