A passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru faced an unfortunate situation when they were unable to exit the lavatory after entering shortly after takeoff. The door’s locking mechanism malfunctioned, trapping the passenger. The crew’s attempts to unlock the door were unsuccessful, prompting them to slip a handwritten note under the door to reassure the passenger and ask them to stay put until landing. Upon landing in Bengaluru, the ground staff had to forcibly open the lavatory door. The airline has since apologized for the inconvenience and offered compensation to the affected passenger.
