A passenger aboard a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru experienced an unfortunate event, being confined within the aircraft’s lavatory for the duration of the flight. The airline has issued an apology and offered a refund for the incident. The passenger was eventually freed after the plane landed in Bengaluru, with ground staff and engineers assisting in opening the locked toilet door.
The event took place on a flight on Monday night that was delayed by two hours. The passenger, seated in seat 14D, entered the restroom shortly after takeoff, only to find the door unable to open. The crew attempted to fix the lock but were unsuccessful.
To console the passenger, the crew wrote a note that was slipped under the door, requesting the passenger to remain seated until arrival in Bengaluru. The note’s image circulated online, generating humorous responses from netizens. The flight landed at approximately 3:45 AM, and the door was subsequently opened. SpiceJet has acknowledged the issue and apologized to the affected passenger.
