The SUV market is buzzing with activity as manufacturers like Hyundai and Mahindra prepare to release new models. If you’re in the market for an SUV, you might want to delay your purchase. Several brands are planning to launch new facelifts and variants before the festive season, so waiting could be beneficial.
**Mahindra Bolero: The Next Generation**
Mahindra is preparing for multiple launches in the coming months. The next-generation Mahindra Bolero has been spotted in its final testing phase. Mahindra has been working to revamp the Bolero, a popular vehicle in tier-two cities where road conditions can be challenging.
Following the release of the Bolero Neo and previous facelifts of the older generation, Mahindra appears to be launching a completely new vehicle. This new Bolero has design cues that resemble the G-Wagon and Land Rover Defender. The new Bolero is slated to launch within this fiscal year.
**Maruti Suzuki Escudo: A New Competitor**
Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce a new 5-seater SUV, potentially named the Escudo. This SUV will be positioned between the Vitara Brezza and the Grand Vitara, competing with the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. The new SUV aims to attract buyers looking for a more luxurious option than the Vitara Brezza at a lower price point than the Grand Vitara. It may be powered by the existing 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, with possible hybrid enhancements.
**Kia Seltos: A Refreshed Look**
After the recent launch of the Clavis, Kia is preparing to release a facelift for the Seltos SUV. The vehicle has been seen testing in Korea and India. With Kia shifting towards more sustainable powertrains, the new Seltos might incorporate a hybrid setup in addition to its existing engine options.
**Tata Sierra EV: Electric Dreams**
The all-new Tata Sierra is nearing the final stages of its pre-production tests and is expected to be launched soon after the Tata Harrier EV. The ICE variant is also being tested, and its launch is expected soon. Tata has indicated that it will launch an EV version of the Sierra after the conventional model.
**Kia Clavis EV: Electric Expansion**
Following the release of the ICE Kia Clavis, Kia is also planning to launch the Clavis EV. The EV version will feature several changes, including a redesigned front grille and an EV powertrain. This powertrain is anticipated to provide a driving range of approximately 460 kilometers.
**Hyundai Venue: A Facelift in the Works**
The Hyundai Venue is scheduled for a facelift, featuring a new front fascia similar to the Hyundai Alcazar. The new SUV was spotted testing alongside the new Kia Seltos. Those planning to buy in this segment are advised to wait, as the car is expected to be revealed in October this year.
