Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, in collaboration with TV9 Network, launched ‘Raksha Ka Bandhan’ this Raksha Bandhan, a heartfelt initiative to honor truck drivers. Female employees at the Jamshedpur plant’s Durga Line hand-crafted rakhis, symbolizing protection and well-wishes for the drivers.
The women employees, who play a vital role in building safe trucks with features like crash-tested cabins and ADAS, recognize the significance of these vehicles in the drivers’ lives. They view each driver as a member of their own family, regardless of personal connection.
These specially made rakhis carried prayers for safe journeys and a sense of connection. The rakhis traveled across several states, from Jamshedpur to the Kalamboli Transport Nagar in Navi Mumbai, and were tied on the wrists of truck drivers.
TV9 Network captured the essence of this initiative, highlighting the care and effort of the women creating the rakhis and the emotional moments when the rakhis were tied onto the drivers’ wrists. The resulting stories and videos were broadcast across TV9’s platforms, turning a corporate project into a nationwide expression of kinship.
This initiative was a powerful demonstration of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ dedication to safety and care. It acknowledged the invaluable contribution of India’s truck drivers who tirelessly serve the nation. The drivers, in turn, were reminded of their importance and the significance of their safety.
