
After a six-year absence, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has re-entered the South African market. The launch event in Johannesburg showcased the Harrier, Curvv, Punch, and Tiago. The Harrier, a full-size SUV, is designed with a focus on performance and comfort. It’s equipped with a 2.0-liter Kryotec turbocharged engine, delivering 125 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque. The infotainment system comes in 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen options, offering wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Alexa Car2Home. Safety features include six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, and Level 2 ADAS. The Curvv, a coupe-inspired SUV, features a 1.2-liter Revotron turbocharged petrol engine, producing 88 kW and 170 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCA automatic transmission and includes a 7-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Punch, a compact SUV, has a 1.2-liter Revotron petrol engine producing 65 kW and 115 Nm, and offers a choice of infotainment displays. The Tiago, a stylish entry-point, comes as a compact hatchback. The Tiago includes a 1.2-liter Revotron petrol engine (63 kW, 113 Nm) and offers a range of features including a 7.0-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
