Tata Motors is preparing to launch a new version of the Sierra SUV in India, a vehicle with a strong connection to the 1990s. The company showcased the Tata Sierra at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier in the year. Recent tests have revealed details of its upgraded interior. Though the exact launch date is still undisclosed, it is anticipated that the Tata Sierra will be available by Diwali 2025.
Tata Sierra Engine Details
The Tata Sierra will likely come with a 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engine, similar to the 2.0-liter Multijet engine found in the Tata Nexon or Harrier models. Furthermore, different battery options are planned for electric versions. Recently, Tata integrated the ‘Quad Wheel Drive’ feature in the new Harrier EV, suggesting that it may be included in the top-end trims of the Tata Sierra.
Tata Sierra Interior and Features
As indicated by media sources, the car’s interior could have a high-end design, comprising a digital driver’s display and a prominent central touchscreen for infotainment. All three screens are around 12.3 inches and designed to appear to float, echoing the concept presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The car is also speculated to include a floating center console, panoramic sunroof, a four-spoke steering wheel, and touch-based AC controls.
Tata Sierra Exterior Overview
Beyond the screens, the dashboard is expected to feature a dual-tone finish, soft-touch materials, and ambient lighting. The steering wheel has been redesigned with a four-spoke layout and a central illuminated brand logo. The exterior of the Tata Sierra is designed with a modern, boxy appearance. Test shots suggest the presence of a full-width LED strip, sequential LED turn indicators, and a robust bumper design.
