In a move to solidify its presence in India’s electric vehicle market, Tesla is set to launch its second retail center in the country. The new Tesla Experience Centre will be situated at the WorldMark 3 campus in Aerocity, Delhi, with its opening planned for August 11. This facility will cater to customers in the National Capital Region, a key region in India’s EV push. This expansion follows the opening of the first showroom at the Maker Maxity Mall in Mumbai on July 15. The Mumbai launch saw the attendance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who welcomed Tesla and invited the company to establish R&D and manufacturing units. The Aerocity center is approaching its completion, with a reported monthly rent of approximately Rs 25 lakh. Pictures of the upcoming outlet have been shared online, highlighting the brand’s premium positioning. Tesla currently offers only the Model Y in India, with prices starting at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
