TVS is preparing to release an affordable electric scooter in India, named the ‘Orbiter’. This marks the company’s expansion in the electric vehicle segment, with the launch date set for August 28th. The Orbiter will be positioned as a more budget-friendly option compared to the existing iQube model, which starts at around ₹1 lakh. The upcoming Orbiter is expected to be priced below ₹1 lakh, targeting a wider customer base and competing with models like the Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 X. This launch strategy aims to capitalize on the growing demand for electric scooters and offer a competitive alternative in the market. The launch will coincide with the festive season in India, a period known for increased vehicle sales.
