
Considering a new car purchase this festive season? Vehicles equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) offer enhanced safety and driving convenience. Several leading car manufacturers in India, including Hyundai, Mahindra, Tata, and Honda, are incorporating ADAS features into their latest models. Here’s a look at some of the top ADAS cars to consider.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris:
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris, recently launched, marks the first ADAS-equipped car in the brand’s lineup. Level 2 ADAS is exclusively available on the top-spec ZXi+ AT trims, powered by a 1.5-liter K15C mild-hybrid engine. This feature is not included in the strong hybrid variant. The Victoris with Level 2 ADAS starts at ₹17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hundai Creta:
The Hyundai Creta is currently a top-selling mid-size SUV in the Indian market. The SX Tech and SX(O) variants come with Level 2 ADAS. The SX Tech offers a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine (MT/IVT) and a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine (MT only). The top-spec SX(O) variant is also available with diesel AT and 1.5-liter tGDi DCT powertrain combinations. The Hyundai Creta’s ADAS range starts at ₹15.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra XUV700:
Mahindra was an early adopter of ADAS technology, introducing it with the XUV700 in 2021. Level 2 ADAS is available on the high-end AX7 and AX7 L variants of this SUV. The XUV700 is offered with both a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine and a 2.0-liter mStallion petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The AX7 trims start at ₹18.37 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Harrier:
Tata Motors updated the Harrier’s variant lineup in August, with ADAS now available in the Adventure X+ and Fearless X+ trims. This SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine, generating 170 hp and 350 Nm of peak torque, coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Tata Harrier with ADAS has a starting price of ₹18.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra XUV3XO:
The XUV3XO stands out for its extensive features within the compact segment. It offers Level 2 ADAS in the AX5 L and top-spec AX7 L variants. The AX5 L variant comes with a 1.2-liter tGDi petrol engine (MT and AT), while the AX7 L offers a 1.5-liter diesel manual powertrain. The ADAS-equipped Mahindra XUV3XO starts at ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
