With the introduction of E20 petrol in India, containing 20% ethanol, a shift towards this fuel is underway. New vehicles are built to accommodate E20, which is designed to be more environmentally friendly than traditional gasoline. However, compatibility issues have emerged with older vehicles, specifically those adhering to BS3 emission standards.
To address these challenges, Bajaj suggests a solution for BS3 vehicle owners. Their recommendation involves the use of a fuel cleaner when using E20 petrol. By mixing 40ml of fuel cleaner with each full tank of petrol every 1000 kilometers, BS3 motorcycles can be safeguarded. This advice was communicated by Bajaj during a recent launch event.
