VinFast, a Vietnamese automaker, is preparing to introduce a small electric car in India, following its recent launch of two electric vehicles. The company has filed patents for the ‘Limo Green’ and ‘Minio Green’ models, which include a compact electric car and a 7-seater EV. The Minio Green is designed to compete with the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV, aiming to offer a distinctive product in terms of features, size, and design, and to become VinFast’s most economical electric vehicle.
VinFast is aiming for a strong presence in the Indian EV market. The company recently launched VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. The MG Comet EV, priced from ₹7.50 lakh to ₹9.56 lakh across its six variants, currently leads as India’s smallest and most affordable EV. The Minio Green, patented by VinFast, is similar in size. This electric hatchback is 3,100 mm long, slightly longer than the MG Comet, and has a wheelbase of 2,065 mm with 13-inch tires.
