Yamaha is set to introduce a new hybrid version of its FZ motorcycle. Patent documents reveal plans for a 149cc hybrid FZ, potentially launching in the Indian market. Following the hybrid Ray Z scooter, Yamaha intends to offer a more accessible hybrid model. To keep costs down, the new hybrid FZ might exclude premium features like the TFT instrument panel and some styling details. Current pricing for the hybrid FZ is around Rs 1.45 lakh, indicating a focus on affordability. The bike will be equipped with a 149cc blue core engine designed for improved fuel efficiency. A starter motor will assist the start-stop system, and battery assistance is expected to boost acceleration. This system could boost fuel economy by automatically turning the engine off during stops.
