Mukesh Sahani, the former minister and head of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), has injected a new element into Bihar’s political landscape. Sahani declared that he is ready to give his life if Prime Minister Narendra Modi provides reservation for the Nishad community. He also voiced concerns over Bihar’s law and order, stating it has completely deteriorated. He criticized the government for the lack of substantial policies, suggesting it is only focused on distributing free rations to secure votes. Sahani added that the nation continues regardless of who is in power and underscored that Bihar’s well-being rests on the actions of its own residents. He mentioned his party’s intention to contest elections on 60 seats.
