Chirag Paswan has declared his intent to contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections from all 243 seats. Speaking at a public meeting in Ara, he confirmed his candidacy in response to persistent queries. He highlighted his focus on strengthening the NDA alliance and securing its victory. Paswan emphasized that his campaign is aimed at serving Bihar, and the decision of his constituency will be determined by the people’s will.
Paswan also directed criticism towards the RJD and Congress, accusing them of being responsible for the ‘jungle raj.’ He referenced the government’s recognition of Karpoori Thakur, and commented on Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the Election Commission. Paswan suggested that these criticisms were merely preemptive attempts to find excuses for an impending defeat. He also clarified that his focus is not on becoming Chief Minister but on supporting the NDA.
