In a near-miss incident, a truck struck vehicles within the convoy of Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, in Vaishali district. The accident happened on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway near Goraul, as Yadav was returning from a rally in Madhepura. The convoy had paused for a tea break when the truck collided with several vehicles. Yadav himself was not injured, but three of his security guards were hurt and required immediate medical attention. Police arrested the truck driver and have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. The incident has led to renewed anxieties about the safety of political figures traveling on Bihar’s roads, particularly at night.
