Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was involved in a car accident on Saturday morning in Vaishali district. A truck crashed into two vehicles of his convoy near Goraul while he was returning to Patna from Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a break on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway at approximately 12:30 AM. Tejashwi Yadav was not in the immediate vicinity of the collision and remained unharmed. However, three security personnel were injured and immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Yadav visited the injured individuals and inquired about their health. The injured officials are now in stable condition, though they sustained significant injuries. The truck driver was arrested, and the vehicle was taken into custody. The cause of the accident is under investigation, with reports suggesting possible speeding or driver fatigue. The incident has brought to light concerns about the safety of political figures traveling long distances in Bihar, particularly at night. RJD supporters took to social media, expressing relief and calling for enhanced road safety and strict adherence to traffic regulations. Party leaders have also requested a detailed examination of VIP security protocols, especially in situations with poor visibility and risky driving. Tejashwi Yadav, known for his active political engagements, has resumed his normal routine and assured his supporters of his safety and well-being.
