After the news of newly elected Bilaspur MP Tokhan Sahu becoming the Union Minister of State, people of his native village in Dindori of Mungeli district started celebrating with pomp and show. Earlier, at Tokhan Sahu’s residence in Dindori, family and relatives expressed their happiness by feeding sweets to each other.
Let us tell you, Tokhan Sahu, who grew up in a rural environment, has been an MLA before becoming an MP, despite this he did not leave the village, even today his entire family resides in Dindori village. He started his political career as a Panch in the village and has become a Union Minister of State. Before reaching here, he was first a Panch, Sarpanch, Zilla Parishad member, MLA, and now after becoming an MP, he has become a Union Minister of State. 3. Due to women reservation on 3 February 2010, his wife Mrs. Lilawati Tokhan Sahu was elected as Zilla Parishad member and on 19 February 2010, he was elected as President of Zilla Panchayat, Lormi.
