Aamir Khan has unveiled a new venture aimed at supporting filmmakers in releasing their movies and generating revenue. Khan’s film ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ was recently released on YouTube after its theatrical run, available for ₹100. Khan had earlier rejected a ₹125 crore offer from an OTT platform for the same film, opting for his own channel, Aamir Khan Talkies. He intends to release all films produced by his production house on this channel, referred to as ‘Janta Ka Theatre.’ Furthermore, Khan will extend this opportunity to filmmakers whose films are facing release difficulties. He encouraged filmmakers to reach out to his team. If a film is selected, it will be showcased on the ‘Janta Ka Theatre’ channel. Khan also assured filmmakers that they would receive compensation if the movie is well-received by the audience.
