Police have arrested television actor Ashish Kapoor in Pune after a woman accused him of rape. The alleged incident took place at a house party held in Delhi last month. Investigations reveal the individuals connected through Instagram. The woman initially reported multiple attackers, but later amended her statement to solely accuse Kapoor. The FIR was filed on August 11, with the charges revised from gang rape to rape. Police tracked Kapoor from Delhi to Goa and ultimately arrested him in Pune. According to reports, CCTV footage and witness statements show Kapoor and the woman entering a washroom together. The complainant alleges that the assault was filmed; however, police have not recovered any such footage at this time.
