As Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) prepared for launch, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the Indian pilot, revealed his song of choice for the mission: ‘Yuh Hi Chala Chal,’ a popular Bollywood track from the movie ‘Swades,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan. The inspirational song, composed by AR Rahman with lyrics by Javed Akhtar and vocals by Udit Narayan, Kailash Kher, and Hariharan, reflects the spirit of moving forward in life. Axiom Mission 4 is a privately developed mission heading to the International Space Station (ISS), launched from the Kennedy Space Center. The mission is scheduled for docking on June 26. The crew, including former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, along with Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski and Tibor Kapu, will spend 7-14 days on the ISS. During their time on the ISS, they will participate in scientific research, outreach, and commercial activities. They will also utilize advanced AxEMU spacesuits, conducting around 60 scientific experiments across 31 countries. NASA and ISRO are working together on various scientific projects in this mission.
