Bigg Boss 19 has witnessed Amaal Malik opening up about sensitive family matters. The musician shared previously untold stories concerning his uncle, Anu Malik, and the hardships his father, Daboo Malik, endured.
Amaal detailed how his relationship with his uncle and his father’s career path were filled with complications. He specifically accused Anu Malik of being responsible for the hurdles his father faced.
During his conversation, Amaal described the significant impact of his family’s issues on his life. He shockingly revealed that he has carried trauma from even before his birth, a statement that caught the attention of the housemates.
He emphasized that his father, Daboo Malik, was never given the recognition he deserved in the music world. Amaal then recounted an instance where his father was called to record a song, a long-awaited opportunity. However, he discovered later that the song had already been released and was sung by Udit Narayan.
Amaal alleged that his father was subjected to a ‘mock recording’ to create the illusion of employment. This caused his father to feel betrayed and impacted his mental health, leading to the use of ‘confidence pills’. Amaal openly labelled his uncle as a negative influence and attributed this to the influence of his uncle’s wife.
Amaal also discussed his mother’s hardships. He disclosed that his mother was overburdened with domestic responsibilities during her pregnancy. He explained, “My mother was subjected to a lot of criticism when she was pregnant with me. She lived in a joint family, and a lot of work was expected of her.” This led to a moment of frustration where she struck her hand on a cabinet.
Amaal acknowledged that his and his brother Armaan Malik’s success today is a testament to their mother’s sacrifices. Amaal recounted a distressing memory from his childhood. At age seven, he was stuck in heavy rainfall in Mumbai and saw his uncle’s car. Despite his attempts to seek help, the people inside the car locked the doors and left him. Amaal admitted that this memory continues to evoke anger and contributes to his aggressive nature. Amaal explained that his reactions are a result of these past experiences.
