‘Thug Life’ Box Office: Day 3 Figures:
The movie experienced a strong opening, followed by a considerable decrease on Day 2. There was a marginal increase on Day 3.
Early estimates for Day 3 indicate earnings of Rs7.50 crore, bringing the total domestic earnings to Rs30.15 crore. The day-wise breakdown reveals Rs15.5 crore on Day 1 and Rs7.15 crore on Day 2. Tamil Nadu contributed the most to the opening day with Rs13.35 crore, with Telugu and Hindi markets following.
Industry analysts suggest that the film may see increased performance over the extended weekend, even with an anticipated loss of Rs 35-40 crore in gross collections and Rs 12-15 crore in distributor share due to the Karnataka ban.
The controversy emerged at the audio launch in Chennai where Haasan spoke about his love for Tamil and then included Shivarajkumar in his statements.
