Amidst a wave of social media speculation concerning cricketer Smriti Mandhana and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal, a choreographer, Nandika Dwivedi, has been erroneously implicated. Anonymous online posts suggested Muchhal’s alleged infidelity, dragging Dwivedi, who was hired for their recently postponed wedding, into the controversy. To combat the misinformation, Gulnaaz, a colleague of Dwivedi and a professional associated with Bosco’s team, has officially spoken out. Gulnaaz used Instagram Stories to issue a direct refutation, clarifying that neither she nor Nandika Dwivedi have any connection to the alleged personal issues between Mandhana and Muchhal. The unfounded accusations against the choreographers gained momentum as rumors surrounding Muchhal’s alleged cheating intensified online.
“We are not the people involved in this issue,” Gulnaaz firmly stated, defending both herself and her colleague. She continued, “I’ve been noticing a lot of speculation and false claims going around about me and my friend Nandika, so I want to make it clear that we are not the people involved in this issue. Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we are connected to their personal matters. Please let’s keep things respectful and not jump to conclusions. We appreciate your understanding and support.” Following Gulnaaz’s clarification, Nandika Dwivedi’s social media presence was made private.
The social media storm intensified following the abrupt postponement of Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal’s wedding. Internet users observed that Mandhana had removed all wedding-related content from her Instagram profile, including pictures from her engagement and proposal. The absence of official communication from the couple led to a frenzy of conjecture across various social media platforms, including Reddit, Instagram, and X. Mandhana, the 29-year-old vice-captain for India’s women’s cricket team, was scheduled to wed her long-time partner, 30-year-old Muchhal. The wedding ceremony was halted just hours before the rituals were to begin. Early reports indicated that a medical emergency involving Mandhana’s father prompted the postponement. To date, no official statement has been released by the couple or their families to address the circulating rumors or the deletion of wedding posts. Sources connected to the families and the event planning team maintain that the postponement was solely due to a medical crisis.
