CID Season 2 is captivating its audience by bringing back beloved characters. The crime drama’s success in reintroducing familiar faces after some turbulence both on and off-screen has created considerable anticipation and nostalgia among its devoted viewers.
Shraddha Musale is set to return as Dr. Tarika, the forensic expert and assistant to Dr. Salunkhe. Her return is eagerly awaited, given her keen insights and on-screen partnership with Senior Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava). Social media platforms are buzzing with excitement after GosspisTV on X confirmed her comeback. A fan enthusiastically expressed, “I am so happy and excited for Dr. Tarika’s entry into the show.” Musale was a key part of the original CID from 2007 to 2018. Her experience includes roles in ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ and ‘Mile Jab Hum Tum,’ demonstrating her acting talent.
Janvi Chheda will also return as Inspector Shreya. Chheda’s character was known for her presence and strong bonds with the team, especially with Senior Inspector Daya, shared her enthusiasm about returning via an Instagram post, writing, “To new beginnings. Or rather, picking up where I left off… Yeah, that’s more poetic!”
The current season of CID has seen several significant changes. The controversial on-screen death of ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam) and the introduction of Parth Samthaan as ACP Ayushmaan initially faced criticism. The producers reversed this decision following strong fan feedback, restoring Satam to his iconic role. Parth Samthaan’s brief tenure ended with a heartfelt farewell.
The series continues to surprise viewers with intriguing plot twists. Narendra Gupta, who played Dr. Salunkhe, recently left the series. Dr. Tarika’s return is now particularly noteworthy, with speculation that she might step into the role of the lead forensic expert.
