The film’s advance bookings in North America reached $1.42 million by August 7th, five days before the premiere.
This early success places ‘Coolie’ among the biggest Indian blockbusters in the overseas market. Experts predict premiere earnings could exceed $2 million, with the potential to become the highest-grossing Kollywood film in North America within its first week. While ‘War 2,’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, is also generating interest, it is currently behind ‘Coolie.’ ‘War 2’ has earned $308,000 in pre-sales in North America, with the chance to reach a $1 million premiere.
